it's all relative, compound interest takes 20+ years to do it's thing, you will probably be dead by then, not trying being a doomer but it's a long process.

The idea is even if the money is spread out across different vehicles with slightly different advantages but all in similar stocks, etfs, etc. they will all still grow at a similar rate so they don’t need to be in the same place to see the same or similar growth

I feel like 5+ is essential to have a safe withdrawal rate that would also survive a bad market down turn plus I feel like I don’t see enough people account for inflation- 100k today very well might not get you nearly as far when it’s our time to retire

Our monthly budget is 5600 we mostly under spend this number as we overestimate expenses and underestimate income, this includes all our large and small expenses except the rental!
