5 days in Vegas is a lot
5 days in Vegas and I'm very ready to head back to the wet, cold rainforest I call home. Hadn't been here in 20 years, came for a trade show and thought I would stay a few extra days to get the most out of my trip.
I lurked on here for a few weeks beforehand to get some good tips and I'm very grateful I did. Best tips were Red Dwarf and kayaking on the Colorado river, those were the highlights of the trip. Battista's was good too. Also making sure to drink as much (bottled) water as possible. And thank you to the folks who talked me out of walking from the Strip to Fremont street.
Things I wish I would have known:
-Everything on the Strip is insanely expensive except ABC and Walgreens.
-The weed on the Strip is absolute garbage, pretty sure our $25 1G joint was shake.
-The Luxor was fine, but definitely stay in the Tower, it was easy to change at checkin.
-Across the street from the Luxor/Mandalay Bay there's a tiny weed booth that had much better options and a fantastic little breakfast spot call Egg Spot with amazing smoothies and breakfast wraps that saved my life every morning.
-Smoking in casinos is still very much a thing here and terrible if you're not used it.
-Same day tickets from Vegas.com has some good deals. Ra was impressive, if slightly confusing.
-Drink even more water than you think you need to.
-The rollercoaster really is $50. Who is riding a $50 rollercoaster??
Thanks for the memories, can't say I'll miss it, y'all are brave and beautiful for living here.
