IMPORTANT INFO RE: 4th APRIL RULE CHANGES:
If you are hoping to get in before the salary changes effective 4th April, you must have your CoS ASSIGNED before or on the 3rd of April. The minimum salary in effect is based on the rules on the date your CoS is assigned to you - It does not matter when your employer applied for it, when the start date is, when it was allocated, or when you apply for the visa (though you do need to submit the application within 3 months of receiving the CoS).
If you don't already have a CoS assigned, there is effectively no time left to do this. In addition to the UK bank holidays on 29th March and 1st April, the SMS (Sponsorship Management System) will be down for maintenance between 7pm on 2 April to 9am on 4 April in order to update the system to the new 2020 SOC codes. Any Undefined CoS allocation unused on 4 April will remain valid, but when a sponsor assigns it, they must follow the rules from 4 April.
Due to the recent delays, some very lucky people may get their CoS assigned either today or Tuesday, but a lot of people are simply going to be out of luck with their job unless they meet the new minimum salary.
