Panicking

Hi all!

I'm currently in my first year at a RG Uni and I had my January Contract law exam today. Due to technical issues I submitted the online exam 1 minute late and have been told that I will be awarded a mark of 0. This exam was worth 25% of my final first year grade (but doesn't count towards my final degree classification).

I want to apply for vacation schemes in second year but now I'm really concerned that I won't be able to get a 2:1 in contract law overall (I would need a mark of 80% in the summer which is highly unlikely). Do you think that this will truly harm my chances of getting considered for vac schemes (for context I got A*AB at A-Level) or will I be ok as long as I average a 2:1 overall?

Thanks (from a very stressed and panicking student)!

Edit: the exam was 2 hours long with 30 minutes allocated for technical difficulties. However, I had an injured hand so couldn’t type quickly so I spent 15 minutes trying to submit the exam :)
