Anti-trans bathroom bill set for Missouri Senate committee vote
“A Missouri Senate committee could vote Tuesday on legislation that would limit transgender students in public K-12 schools to bathrooms based on their sex at birth. It’s sponsored by Sen. Travis Fitzwater, R-Holts Summit.”
“Several people testified against the bill at a hearing last week, saying it would violate the rights of transgender students and threaten their health and safety.”
“No one testified in favor of the bill. The State Senate Education Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. at the Missouri Capitol.”
