Will resetting mean starting again?

Daughter is experiencing same crash glitch that I’ve seen a lot on here after getting rooftop garden. Even the new update yesterday hasn’t helped. iOS up to date, cleared storage. If I reset, does that mean she has to start from scratch with her house decoration?
