How did you guys get prescribed compounded tirzepatide?

My PCP is out of office but I am assuming I will get the same response from him. The person covering for him said “Unfortunately, we cannot send the prescription to the pharmacy, as mentioned before, it is not FDA approved. There is no quality control on compounded pharmacy products, and we cannot guarantee safety or if they give the right dosage consistently”.

How did you guys work around this? Does anyone have advice or something I could say to my doctor?
