Got killed by parents not long after hatching?

New to game got hatched into the game as a herbivore dinosaur. A group of 6 of us. And when a small juvi raptor circled our pack I started roaring at it, and after doing that my parents and group attacked and insta killed me after 1 hour. Am I not meant to roar at a predator? I’m new so have no idea, because it was a small raptor against 5 fully grown herbivores.
