3rd party recorder with ffmpeg?

let me be entirely honest - i have no idea what ffmpeg is. i only heard it can encode mp4 to take a fraction of the size it normally does. i want to use it, but i dont want to mess with my system using the command prompt. are there any third party recorders for this? ive tried captura but it always fails to download ffmpeg with the button and it doesnt accept when i link it to the file.
