Career update
Hey everyone! I have been inactive here for a bit, but I wanted to come on and give a quick career update and along the way give some insights!
After spending 1 year at Operatix (now owned by MemoryBlue), 2 years at SAP Emarsys, I have landed myself at Google (won’t go into details, but just go on my LinkedIn for some deets).
Major things I have learned so far:
Don’t choose the job, choose your boss. It doesn’t not matter how good the offer looks, you will not succeed in that role unless you have a good leader.
Practice is key. I have made enough cold calls and sent out plenty of cold emails to know that there is no secret sauce. Just keep going and tweaking things along the way
Discipline and consistency always win. No more context needed there, just keep going and you’ll find results.
I don’t want to make this too long as it’s a mini update but feel free to shoot my a message if you have any questions about best practices/ how to get into tech sales.
Happy hunting!
