Possible glitch in “Scorpion’s Abyss”

At the beginning of the mission, when Dax finishes her speech, I’m supposed to talk with the Thaseen-Fei. For some reason, her character simply doesn’t appear in the room at all, thus making it impossible to continue the mission. i’ve tried aborting and retrying the mission multiple times but it simply doesn’t work. Anyone know what to do?
