Week 4 Update - Anavar, Test & Sema

I did a 2 week update, and today doing a 4 week update.

Yesterday was the end of 4 weeks on Anavar. 2.5 weeks ago I had a testosterone pellet implanted and I started semaglutide.

My goals are body recomposition; cut fat while keeping or adding a bit of muscles mass.

Stats: 43, 5’6 starting weight 139 @ ~22% BF current weight 148, having a Dexa scan this morning.

The last two weeks I really started to see a difference in the mirror in my upper body. Great muscle pumps in the gym, with new muscle definition in the mirror. I am still holding onto quite a bit of water weight ~9#. My fat calipers show loss but my measurements are the same (except hips have increased, assuming glute mass).

I started my period 8 days early which is very unusual for me. It was a normal length period. I didn’t really feel much libido increase the first 2 weeks on Anavar, but have noticed a significant increase about a week after the testosterone pellet was implanted.

I decided to add Semaglutide because I’m eating in a deficit (eating roughly 1500 cals/day) and I was having issues with being very hungry. The Sema has really helped my appetite and I now find it difficult to eat all 1500 calories. I can only eat about 1/2 the volume of food I would normally consume in a regular meal, so I’m having an extra protein shake everyday. I’ve also lost interest in alcohol (and other cravings/snacks) which is helpful!

As far as side effects, I haven’t really developed acne. My hair and skin is much greasier and I am showering twice a day some days. I have to wash my hair about twice as often. I’m sleeping great and I’m in a great mood all day.

In the gym, I’m not experiencing the never ending energy and the ability to just lift and lift as I’ve read others experience. Maybe it’s because I’m in a caloric deficit. But I am recovering really well so I’m going to the gym pretty much every day and have to force myself to take days off. I was having issues with severe cramps when lifting - I was doing higher reps with lower weight and my coach had me increase weight & decrease reps which has made a huge difference.

One major gym win was hitting a new DL PR last weekend - 275#.

I had blood work done 2 weeks into Anavar - my Albumin/Globulin were slightly elevated, TSH dropped to .483, T4 & T3 pretty much the same as last time bloods were done.

I’ve read that things really start to kick into gear after week 4 so I’m looking forward to the next 4 weeks. I’m hoping when I come off Anavar, I’ll shed a bunch of water weight revealing a new svelte physique. I am worried though that I’m going to lose all this sexy muscle definition I’m seeing…due to glycogen storage and intra-muscular water loss.

Planning to add creatine back into the mix to help with this 😉
