Join the Discord chat!

As most of you are aware, we now have a confirmed ARG on our hands (and the sub has now more than doubled in subscribers). There's been some press attention and a lot of people have been working hard to crack the case.

A large amount of the progress that has been made has happened over on our official Dischord chat. If you think you have something to offer, or just want to watch it all unfold in real time, please see the details below, courtesy of /u/bysam:

How Can I Help?

First, please read up on our current stance on where we are in the puzzle so you are not digging into something that is already solved.

The Discord Chat

If you don’t know what Discord is, it’s basically irc + teamspeak/mumble/ventrillo put together in a beautiful program. The Voice channels are rarely used in our server, but if you want to use it, feel free. If you have any questions, feel free to PM the Discord moderators, you can find them in the top right.

The Discord chat is where the magic happens, there are currently 150 people in the server, most of which are working hard to advance. (It includes SteamDB and Bukkit developers). Once joining the server, feel free to lurk for a bit and get the feel for the place. Make sure to familiar yourself with the rules section.

Another great thing for catching up on the action is the link collection we have on the bot. To see all commands, please type !help (Please trigger this in #offtopic, so it wont cluster the General chat)

After you have been lurking for a while, see where you think you would fit. The current channels are:

#bruteforce; this is a very technical channel, often discussing scripts to bruteforce the next whatever needs to be bruteforced.

#wav; these guys are analyzing the secret .wav file that we found.

#general; This is, well, general. Everything that is not bruteforce, wav or off-topic goes here!
