First ep gun? Maybe spoiler

Not sure if anyone's talked about this. In the first episode the wee boy wins the arcade game for Gi-Hun and when he gives the prize (gun lighter) to his daughter, it's in the same black box with a pink ribbon as we see later used as coffins and where the policeman's brother kept the contact card. Does this mean the kid was involved with the game organisers and if so what did the gun mean? Or was it just foreshadowing?
