Am i overpaying

So i signed up for a solar system and everything seemed fine at first but its been almost a year now with them and im looking at numbers and im not seeing any savings which i believed was normal for the first couple years but i have been seeing other peoples stories where they are making much more savings. I have a 7.2kw system and before the tax incentive my cost is 41000, and my recent internet searches have said the average cost for my size system is only around 25000. Am i being taken for a ride or am i just not understanding how the cost and saving of solar works. In central florida if that matters.
