What is up with SS's metallurgy??
I'm at about 3,500 rounds on my XR920 and had my locking block pin shear. It appears this buggered something with the slide release lever spring, as I was getting spring pressure upward on my slide release lever, locking back constantly in the middle of matches. In addition, when I received my pistol NEW IN BOX, the slide lock (the takedown nubs, not the slide release lever) was snapped in 2. Also, not sure if threaded barrel models are supposed to have an o ring to keep the thread protector from walking, but mine didn't.
I also keep getting an awful malfunction where a cartridge will be almost entirely in battery but the barrel is still unlocked, and the slide locks up HARD. The only fix I've found to work consistently is literally pushing a screwdriver or cleaning rod up the barrel onto the nose of a live round. The SS rep asked if the gun was stock, then said I should switch my Timney trigger back for their mush orgy trigger.
I just ordered a new LBP because this is also my carry pistol and I want it back in service ASAP. Just irritated overall.
