We’re having a baby?
Disclaimer: I am not here to have a debate about abortion rights. if you are pro life maybe this isn’t the post for you, you can argue about it in the replies but just know you’re talking into the void.
Does anyone else get upset when they watch this scene? When I first watched the show it was cute, but after the second rewatch it made me nauseous.
I think a lot of people ignore Charlotte’s negative attributes because of her sweet nature. She definitely has a habit of forcing her beliefs on the group, and flat out not being supportive when they do something she doesn’t agree with.
Maranda was not ready to be mother, in fact I didn’t see her ever having kids but that’s just my opinion. Now flash forward a season and she’s taking care of a toddler, while working, with little help from Steve. I know she loves her son, and I don’t think she regrets having him, but it’s so obvious she’s miserable.
I know it was her choice, and I don’t want to put all the blame on Charlotte, but I can’t help but think what would’ve happened if she had more support. Would she have gone through with the abortion if her friend didn’t push her towards having a baby? I think so.
