Hearing announcements inside Staterooms

Currently on a small ship heading up the coast of Norway. Very different pace to a Royal cruise!

But one amazing feature I love is that you can activate the telephone in your stateroom to play all announcements. Much better than having to crack the door open and listen into the hallway. Of course if you don’t want to hear any announcements then simply don’t activate this function.

It’s designed so that you can be notified if they see the Northern Lights. But all announcements made on the Ship come through the stateroom phone speaker.

I think it’s such a great use of technology that Royal should be able to fairly easily implement on ships. That way you don’t miss out on hearing announcements just because you are inside your stateroom. And we really don’t use the phones for much else so this would see them being much more effective.
