This isn’t a post to vouch for Russ. This is a post for AP supporters who wanted to give him another year and a hit on TT. AP openly said he “didn’t want a band-aid” at QB. Ian stating that Russ wanted to go to LVR (which would have been a vet min) does go well for those who kept saying he “never had a chance at a QB.”
He had a chance to upgrade and he did not to take Russ. This is also a hit on TT as he was part of the process of picking Minshew over Russ. You can say “hindsight 20/20” but it’s not entirely true he actually had decent numbers in DEN.
Make no mistake about it! AP had a chance get a decent upgrade at QB (for a much cheaper cost) and decided not too.
