How Do Medical Schools Look at Failed Courses

Hi, I am a first year undergraduate student. I am failing (yes, failing.) my general chemistry course. I know I will fail because I needed a 50% in the lab component and I was unable to obtain that. How will medical schools consider this?

I am so worried for future me, because what if I don't get into medical school because of a few mistakes I made in my early undergrad? I know that Canadian medical schools are quite difficult to get in.

Does anyone have advice to do better, especially in chemistry? I have been struggling in it this entire semester. And my final exam is tomorrow morning, and I have no idea how I am supposed to approach that.

I really am passionate about medicine, so I really don't want to give up my dream over one failed class. So please, what should I do in this scenario (it is too late to drop the course)?
