How I would rewrite Powerpuff Girls 2016 (LONG POST)

I want to start off this post by saying that most people will find my changes pretty disagreeable and sound pretty fanfiction-y, but I just wanted to stretch my creative muscles, and I know I can't please anyone. If there are huge disagreements, feel free to tell me your thoughts in discussion, as I would LOVE to talk more about this idea a lot. It's really fun. Now let's gets to the rewrites:

So here's the main premise. I made it so that there is a time-skip in this rewrite and the girls are now highschoolers. Citysville and Townsville has merged into a brand new bigger city called Urbansville. This will provide a cool new urban setting with new cultures and potential conflicts for the girls. The girls go to a newly established Pokey Oak High School which has a lot of new faces, but their not major characters or anything. Some of the reoccurring villains in the old PPG would now be retired or just not in the picture. Like Princess Morbucks is a more chill, just kinda mean girl, but otherwise isn't a real threat. The Rowdy Ruff boys are in the school, but they have been drained of all of their powers and are just normal teenage boys. Ms. Bellum has now become the overall mayor of the entire city of Urbansville. And Ms. Keane is now a highschool teacher for the girls, and I would make a more active effort to pair her and the professor together. The girls get a more updated and modern designs etc. The show would be split into 4 main seasons with 25 episodes each. And each one focusing on a major arc for the girls.

SEASON 1:
This season would be focused on the girls adjusting to highschool life, and balancing their crime fighting with their new student responsibilities. You know, classic superhero show stuff. The main arc of this first season would focus on a new supervillain threat. Her name is Baretta, and she has a striking resemblance to the girls only her signature color is yellow instead. She comes from a different reality where the professor successfully made the "perfect little girl". She has all 3 of their powers combined, and she was initially loved by her Townsville all the same but. Being the sole Powerpuff Girl made her extremely lonely. The mayor is an idiot who can't do anything on his own, and takes her for granted. A subset of the population thought she was responsible for all of the collateral damage during big monster fights. She barely had time for any leisure at all without being interrupted by crime or a monster. And on one particularly bad evil mission, her professor is killed in a tragic accident (not shown of course). Because of that Barretta became bitter, and completely snaps. She decides to just start doing what ever she wants, and eventually stars terrorizing anyone and everyone in her world, with her overwhelming power. She destroys Townsville and forces everyone to bow to her or be annihilated. She eventually becomes bored with it, and just starts taking over the planet in general. And when she discovers her speed powers allow her to travel to different dimensions, she just starts wreaking havoc wherever she goes, whenever she feels like it. She becomes the personification of "with great power comes NO responsibility. When she gets to the Powerpuff girls world, she's starts to wreak havoc as usual, but this time, she starts to waver and realize just how far she's fallen when she sees the girls work together, and how loved they are by their city while trying to stop her. It reminds her of just how lonely she really is, and that trying to fill that void by becoming self serving and hedonistic doesn't actually fix it. Baretta is a villain that's supposed to represent their need for each other, and why their morality is so important and special in the first place. Baretta is stronger than all 3 of them combined, but the girls start to appeal to her humanity and trauma with their words not fists. Even relating to her pain of being lonely and taken for granted in her own reality, and how hard the burden of being a superhero and just normal girl can bein in life. With the heart to heart, they slowly start to chip away at her, before she finally gives up and goes back to her reality to try to fix things. I would have to flesh a LOT of things out obviously, but for the first season, I think this would be a cool idea. Baretta serves as a harsh foreshadow of what's to come. And an excellent first major villain in this more mature take on the series.

SEASON 2:

For this season's big arc it would focus around Buttercup becoming more and more ostracized from the girls. Eventually falling in fashion with a bad organization that values her for her strength, and is slowly convincing her that she's better without the girls, preying on her insecurities and fears.
After seeing the episode where they go to Citysville, and it's essentially a more realistic take of how a real city would treat the Powerpuff girls, I decided to make that a real plot point in the reboot. This season would focus on that theme, and the evil organization (let's just call it Org X for now) would be like an off shoot of the government. They try to appeal to Buttercups insecurities by pointing out how unfair the girls and HER are treated by the public. How they deserve WAY more for their services, and how if THEY where in charge, they would be treated so much better. With would be a natural expansion on the idea of "Town and Out" and "Too Pooped to Puff" while also building perfectly off of Season 1's ideas where Baretta was essentially an evil Powerpuff girl out of spite for HER Townsville not treating her correctly. And after her Professor died, she went completely evil.

I could start off the Season with the aftermath of their fight with Baretta. The girls are tasked with fixing the collateral damage that they caused in the battle, even though it wasn't their fault, with some of the citizens feeling a bit angry towards them, even if it genuinely wasn't their fault.

The tension could rise as we have scenes of the girls being reminded that "They can't use their powers in the school, or it'll make the other kids feel jealous or less valued". We could have a deep intimate scene where Buttercup request something from Mrs. Keane, maybe some extra time to complete and assignment due to her crime fighting and Mrs. Keane vehemently says no.

Something along the lines of: "No Buttercup, I can't give you special treatment because you have superpowers. What will the other students think".

Buttercup: "Oh well who cares what they think. They don't know what it's like to be needed 24/7. They don't have to stay up all night listening to the the hotline all day. I'm expected to not only be a perfect fighter but a student as well? That doesn't seem fair. And all because I was born with powers?"

Ms. Keane: "Yes Buttercup. I'm sorry but I just can't do that. It's not fair to the other kids. This is a school of inclusivity, if I were to openly give you girls personal favors, how would that make me look. How would that make the school look? I'm sorry but you'll be held to the same standards as everybody else. It's only fair."

Buttercup: "Yeah, like they would know anything about fair."

The tension could increase as Blossom being the goody two shoes she is, will completely dismiss Buttercup's valid complaints, and just agree whole heartedly with Mrs. Keane, not knowing the unfair stress she's putting on Buttercup. Even Bubbles feels a little stressed out lately. This tension could strengthen further when Org X starts to feed Buttercup supremacist rhetoric. Maybe about how ungrateful the citizens of Urbansville are. If anything THEY should be begging do to Buttercup personal favors. And how this city is ruined specifically because the strong have to bend a knee to the weak. It could start putting that rift in the girls, as the organization starts to gain more and more power with their extreme rhetoric of stopping rampant crime and "Making Urbansville a great city" like it was always meant to be.
