Tongue piercing placement

Please excuse the weird photo, I’m trying to show the vein on the underside of my tongue. On a lot of tongue piercings I’ve seen, the bar is slightly diagonal, is that due to that vein in the middle, or something else?

I’m just wondering if my bar will be able to be straight through or have to be slightly diagonal. Thank you!!!!
