tips for newbie importers

Hi! Anyone here who is into import biz? Can you please give some advice/tips/do's and don'ts re importing of goods? I'm planning to source the goods (mostly frozen meat) from neighboring ASEAN countries. Any advice will be much appreciated. Maraming salamat!!
