Channel 7 weather presenter "twice as cold tonight"

6PM news tonight, Samantha Jolly said that the temperature was dropping from 13C to 6C. "That is twice as cold". She repeated this mistake later in the broadcast.

Don't weather presenters study meteorology. You know physics, chemistry differential equations? Celcius is not an absolute temperature scale Samantha. that is roughly 289 Kelvin to 279 Kelvin, so a mere 3% colder.

Edit: After some self-reflection, I think I might be on the spectrum. For those who must know, business charts that don't start at zero, without making it clear that the axis has been magnified is my dummy spit kryptonite.
