Advice on what to invest in with new Chase/J.P.Morgan Roth IRA Account.

Lost my job in February of this year, but recently got re-employed, been there about a month but I count as an on-call employee so I don’t get benefits, so I decided to manage my retirement funds myself, but I’d like advice on what are reliable options to invest in so I’m not just throwing my savings into a pit, I’ll have 500 to put into it at the end of this week.
