the new radeon 9700XT cards are too damn big and they wont actually fit my case which has 300mm gpu clearance

so do non XT 9070 cards also too big? a pc tower is probably easiest thing to change but i have absolutely zero knowledge about how to assemble all those parts in the new tower and that really annoyed me because i always thought i could fit the bigger gpus until i measured the clearance today, was thinking about getting a 7900XT if the 9070XT prices are too high but not even 7900XT will fit my case, i know i should just get a new tower but again zero knowledge
