Reflecting on Pakistan’s Struggles and Holding Onto Hope

It deeply pains me to see the current state of Pakistan. Three years ago, when I paused my activism, I never imagined that the country would continue to regress with each passing year. In my view, the blame doesn’t rest solely on politicians, judges, or the establishment—it falls on us as a society. We have failed to let knowledge, awareness, and critical thinking guide our decisions. Today, Pakistan is wounded, and healing these wounds will take time. However, I remain hopeful that brighter days lie ahead. I truly believe that the time will come when we can stand tall and proudly say to the world, “Yes, I am Pakistani.”
