Vera Bradley Original Duffel Bag Questions

Hi! I’m considering buying the original duffel bag (40 L) from Vera Bradley in probably black or green. Before doing so, I wanna ask a few qs:

1. Does it fit under the seat in an airplane or would I have to put it in an overhead compartment?
2. Is it durable, as in the straps, for when the bag is filled? I tend to be an over-packer
3. Does it stain easily or either way would it be an easy clean?
