Does the Eyes Wide Shut cult share any similarities with any real life cult?

I've come to watch the movie, and I grew really curious about the idea of sex cults and occult organizations that use sex and its energy for rituals and practices. It seems like something that would exist, maybe not a cult dedicated to sex, but perhaps a pagan cult that would include orgies and sex as a form of worship?
