Any former RT turn nurse here?

Currently a 2nd year RT student doing my ICU rotation and am enjoying it so far. However, a part of me is debating if I should go to nursing school after a few years of being an RT. From what I’ve seen, nurses and RTs seem to have a good relationship with one another, but I feel like most of the nurses can do what a RT does and earns more respect. I’d like to hear your experiences.
