Taylor Tomlinson is the best female standup comedian I saw.

YouTube continually suggested Taylor Tomlinson's Shorts to me, and after finally giving in and watching a few, I was compelled to watch both of her specials on Netflix.

Without intending any gender bias, I've often found that the performances of female stand-up comedians don't quite reach the same heights as notable male counterparts like Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, and others.

Popular female comics like Ellen DeGeneres, Whitney Cummings, and Sarah Silverman can certainly be amusing, but rarely do I find them to be hilarious.

Taylor Tomlinson, however, stands as a distinct exception. Her act is consistently funny, her material both witty and engaging. She regularly employs clever and relatable metaphors, skillfully illustrating her points.

Her delivery, which I believe can account for more than half the impact of her material, is outstanding. This is evident in her precise voice work and expressive facial and body language. Sometimes, the right look or gesture can deliver the punchline of a joke, and Taylor consistently nails these moments

It' clear she's very talented and I hope to see more of her in the future.
