grandma just passed away, and i'm having a baby in a month - would love to honor her.
I am Chinese Canadian, and my grandma's name is 常爱 (Sheung Oy). She already has a beautiful name, which means "love often/frequently/constantly". She passed away recently, and I'd like to find an English name that honors her. For example, keeping one of the sounds like "Oy" or "Ai" (mandarin) in the English name, or "Constance" which eludes to constantly. It doesn't have to be too exact; I would just like to know that the name we end up choosing pays a bit of a homage to her.
We are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise, so would like suggestions for girl and boy names. Thanks Reddit!
UPDATE: Thanks Reddit! I wrote this post after finding out an hour before that my grandma had passed. I was trying to be productive while still a bit in shock. Checking all these replies had helped me through a difficult day yesterday - thank you for all the suggestions, and the positive experience!
