1984 Ghostbusters was Underwhelming

Firstly let me say when this movie came out I wasnt even born yet. I was watching some older classics on Hulu and decided to check out Ghostbusters tonight. Ive always heard that its one of those must watch movies. With all the great things ive heard about Ghostbusters it left me feeling underwhelmed and at the end just felt like it was "meh" maybe a solid 5/10. If im being completely honest i didn't even find it all that funny.

I wanted to hear the opinions of people that love this movie and why you think its so great. Do you think that this movie still holds up and why? Is the critical acclaim mostly nostalgia? if this is one of your favorite movies I would like to hear your perspective on what makes it so good.
