I want a motorcycle, but I’m slightly scared?

I’ve been wanting to ride a bike for years now, it’s genuinely all I think about. I’ve had the whole talk with my family about how it’s not safe and that cars would be so much more convenient, and I get it. Though, riding just feels more right to me.

I’ve managed to save up enough to go looking at a potential 125cc bike next month and then start my learning process, but I’m having slight second thoughts. My online algorithm keeps showing me crashes, why it’s insanely more dangerous than I realised, and that little to no riders have never been in some kind of accident- compared to drivers. I’m really looking forward to getting my bike, it’s what I’ve always wanted, but I’m not sure if it’s something I should risk my life over?

I’m not sure if anyone can offer any advice on this, but I’d really appreciate it.
