Found Box of Scale Trains & Accessories

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place, or if anyone is going to have any info for me.

I am in the UK and upon starting to renovate a new house, have found a box of scale model trains, carriages and some station houses, as well as a power supply and what I think is a switch controller. The trains seem to be in two different sizes, there is one train with two passenger carriages and six assorted goods carriages and then about twice as many in a much larger scale.

I honestly don't know where to start with identifying this stuff or figuring out if it is worth me saving from the bin. Any advice on how to identify what I have found, and if it is worth the effort to save, would be much appreciated!
