2018 720s w/ CPO a safe buy?

Hey folks. Finally about to pull the trigger on a Mclaren. One of the options I'm weighing is a CPO 2018 Mclaren 720s w/ low miles. Is this a safe buy? I hear everyone say stay away from the 18s, but is that really a problem if I have warranty and will maintain warranty for as long as I have it? (<2 years before I move onto something else)
