Marvel new shows/movies are so f-ing bad
Let's start saying that 'new' for me is anything past 2019 since I had left the MCU about there. I decided to check out Marvel's new releases since I've recently gotten more into comics, and it made me feel more connected to the Marvel universe. So I was pretty hyped to jump back into the MCU timeline, picking up from Endgame, which was the last movie I’d seen (besides the two Spider-Man movies that came after). But, honestly, I quickly realized that almost every new show and movie feels so generic. What annoys me the most is how silly and childish most of them are. I just finished Hawkeye, and man, it was so bad that it killed any desire I had to keep watching the MCU. The plot and characters felt so poorly written, like a Disney Channel show. There were so many nonsensical moments and cringe dialogue that made it hard to take seriously, and it just felt uncomfortable to watch. It’s weird to say, but even though these are all fictional characters, the old movies made the events feel believable, but now it just doesn’t have that same impact.
I had the exact same issues with Spider-Man: No Way Home. It feels silly, with characters like Dr. Strange having weird behaviours and making dumb decisions, lazy writing, and plot holes everywhere. The other Spider-Men and the hype surrounding their return definitely saved it, and I won’t lie, I enjoyed it the first time. But after rewatching it a few times, I can see that it’s a bad movie and it’s definitely not even in the top 3 Spider-Man movies, despite what a lot of people say.
I don't know if people talk about this in this sub as I only came here to post this, but I suppose you do as I saw a lot of complaints about Marvel lately.
