How do I approach learning Self defence as someone who needs to avoid hand injury at all cost.
Hello I play piano, so I need to avoid most sports let alone martial arts, but I'm Interested enough in martial arts so how do you guys think I should approach learning it?
Obviously the ideal situation will be to hire a professional private teacher as I don't trust strangers to have Sparring sessions.
But I currently don't have a lot of money and I already have a lot in my plate.
My thoughts went to BJJ, but even then, the risks seems to outway the reward. So what are my options? in my own opinion if I just learn how to kick properly it would do be more than enough for any self defense situation, but aside from kicking into a punching bag, what other tools I can utilise as a hobbyist? Can I use my hands in any way with little to no risk of injury?
I'm already weigh lifting for 3 years.
