Ted vs. Don’s Client Mishandlings

Ted cutting the airplane engine with clients in it and talking about wanting to die in S7 was way worse than Don revealing his childhood during the Hershey meeting in S6. Yet Ted received zero consequences for his transgressions. This is one of the few inconsistencies of the show that drives me crazy. What am I missing? Thoughts?
