Lyft's new base rate
It's Saturday 12/28 and I need 36 trips by end of Sunday to reach the 50 trip weekly $150 ev bonus. The usual plan is to pickup as many short trips as possible and here in Los Angeles it's around $3.20 to $3.60. So I get to 20 trips and trying to pickup 2 more before I call it a day. Lyft's algorithm knows this by now and behold a $2.62 trip request. I haven't seen below $3 since pre pandemic. Of course I accept it. Come Sunday, I need 14 more trips and the new minimum rate is $2.62, which was sent to me twice and I immediately accepted. I reached my 50 trips and I have posted my weekly stats. Starting next week, the ev weekly bonus is reduced to $100 for 50 trips. And I will have to decide if it's worth it to pursue.
