What can Go Wrong in a Bengali Wedding

Hi, I hope you guys would be able to help me out. I have to write a wedding sequence in my story and am trying to think of what can go wrong in it. Something that would have people panicking and running helter-skelter at the last minute. How plausible is everyone forgetting about the mukut till the last moment? What would be a good reason for someone from the groom's side to be there at the bride's place before the wedding? I hope you guys would be able to give me some ideas about this. TIA
