Summarizing 2024: Jiujitsu, sandbags and kettlebells
5’5”, currently @ 76kg
I started switching from the traditional barbell/dumbbell S&C to sandbag and kettlebells in January of this year (2024).
I can say that it’s the better fit for my sport (jiujitsu). Im less sore during jiujitsu class and i had fewer injuries related to lifting compared to when i was still doing BB and DB programs. I also noticed an improvement in explosive power and strength endurance that’s evident during sparring sessions.
My usual schedule:
Mon - Kettlebell
Tue - BJJ
Wed - Sandbag
Thu - BJJ
Fri - Kettlebell
Sat - Rest
Sun - BJJ
Hopefully i can keep this up for another year and cut down to 70kg as my final walking weight. See you in 2025!
