Little Scrotes and the benefits of CCTV.

There's been a gang of about 10 to 15 little scrotes running around our area tonight playing knick knock. They age in range from 7 to 13. It would appear their parents have basically decided to say "feck it" and let them run riot in the last few days of the summer holidays.

They were having a go at my neighbour, who decided to fight back by watching them come up the path and open the door as soon as they were about to knock. As soon as he did that they all scarpered. One of them tried to jump over his fence, but got his foot caught and face planted on the pavement.

So he ran home to mummy and daddy and told them that my neighbour chased them down his path and that's why he had the jump over the fence. So the guards were called. All his friends backed him up and said my neighbour chased him and was threatening to beat him up.

So within the last hour the guards paid him a visit. Luckily we have CCTV (with sound) cameras on our house and I was able to playback the footage and show with that no one was chasing anyone. The guards left saying he was grand and they would go and have a word with the kids parents.

I'm actually a bit shaken by the fact that these children were able to give false witness as a group and do so with consistency. That's a bit scary.

Also, spending €70 on a cheap IP camera and sticking it in your upstairs window looking out is a good investment.
