Mail app bugs

I have been using Googles mail app for a long time because I never really liked apples default mail app but decided to give it a try since they made some welcome changes with 18.2.

However, I’m having some issues. For example, in the transactions category. The badge number is also incorrect and only includes mail from the primary category even though I have it set to include all.

Now I haven’t used the mail app in years so I’m just curious if these have been issues for a long time or new issues that came with 18.2. Unless I’m just missing something and there’s some setting that I’m not enabling?

Edit: Also wanted to mention that I want notifications on to show all mail except for specific categories. Is that possible?
