Apartemen vs Kontrakan

I'm looking to move out from my current place (kosan) to have more space and privacy. I would prefer appartement or kontrakan kosong. Do you guys have any recomendation on where to find a great place and where to get the best deal.
I'm currently in bandung, but would like to move to Bekasi or Depok (closer to jakarta is better) since I work from home. My budget is around 2jt/mo or 25/year.
Also is it better to find someone directly or through travelio based on your experience?
