I’m curious, do you have any favorite headcanon?

Sorry in advance because this question has probably been done thousands of times so I hope I’m not bothering anyone :,)

Anyway, for example, one of mine (because I grew up with dub names) is that characters that have certain “accents” and nationalities actually do speak the other language,some fluently and some just a bit. This is related to GO characters.

Note: in the Italian dub they don’t have accents nor they use particular words, they speak normally but dub names are still very stereotypical. Like, Victor(Tsurugi) for Russia and Riccardo(Shindou) for Italy are very common names, not to mention “Garcia” (Kirino) is a pretty common surname in Spain.

I know this only applies if you watched certain dubs, but I still like it. Just imagine teenage Riccardo cursing in Italian the second he gets extremely mad!

Also I’d like to add Aphrodi to the discussion but I’ve learned that his nationality was a “sensitive” topic on this sub, sooo… well he played for the Korean team in s3 so I think it’s pretty canon that he knows Korean.
