That escalated quick / Need you suggestion!
A few days ago I really got interested in IEMs, researched a bit here on the sub and than decided to order a few cheaper models on Amazon sale to test what I like and if I like IEMs in general. Turns out I’m totally hooked and really like to listen music with them. For now I just have my apple DAC and my iPhone, but I’m already in the process building a music collection and also researching for DAPs 😂 So now to the question, I understood that I like a bit of bass so the Gate and the Wan‘ers was not my taste, although the Wan’er really does have the best build quality of all the IEMs tested here. My favorite from this four was definitely the QKZ x HBB, liked the clear voices and treble + the rumbly bass the most. In addition they also fitted the best. I’m now deciding if I send all of them back and upgrade directly to a pair of more expensive IEMs, I have a budget of around 80€, or if I should just stay with the QKZ x HBB and spend a bit of my budget for a higher quality cable (don’t like the cheap plastic cables) and upgrade later when I have more experience. What is your suggestion? And what higher quality IEMs for 50-80€ can you recommend which are an upgrade to the QKZ x HBB with a similar sound profile?
