Anyone else using an AppleCare replacement?
Damaged my 16 Pro in an accident and went through the express replacement process. I’ve setup the replacement as a new device as I usually do to avoid any backup hiccups. Have updated iOS and all apps, and setup my usual settings with all background app refresh turned off, all Siri app tracking turned off, Apple AI off, dark mode, brightness kept down, auto lock, etc etc etc. I’ve given the phone nearly a week to run any background indexing.
The battery life on this replacement is worse than the damaged 16 pro it replaced. It arrived with roughly half a charge, with 100% battery health and zero cycles as expected. Date of manufacture is August 2024 so it’s actually a month older than the phone it replaced which was manufactured in September 2024, but that doesn’t seem like a big deal.
Anyone else running an AppleCare replacement and having similar issues? Bummed that I’m dealing with this after having no issues with my original 16 Pro.
