Do y’all talk to your neighbors? If not, why?

I hardly don’t.

I own my house & my neighbors rent. My current next door neighbors have never said a single word to us. If they see my husband or I they avoid looking our way, when they garage door open when my family and I come home they’ll quickly shut it. If my toddlers outside in the front yard playing they don’t speak. Just awkward behavior.

I’m not looking to socialize much anyway as I’m known to be an introvert but our neighbors before them were cordial enough to not make it awkward. If we seen each other in passing we’ll wave or smile.

Anyway, today I finally asked one of them to stop parking so close to my driveway. We share driveways but there’s a line that divides our driveway and they park super close to the line making it hard to get out my car without dinging theirs. She looked me at confused and just said ok.

I posted this to hear others stories and if you are this type of neighbor. What is the reason?
