Snake pressing open mouth to glass??
EDIT/UPDATE: Just did a thorough cleaning and found a hairball near where I first saw her. I'm assuming she regurgitated it and will be monitoring her for any other changes. I won't be feeding her for a couple of weeks just in case. I forgot to mention that she just became big enough to handle sub-adults last month so I'm gonna downsize her next meal as well and see how she fares. My vet has already been notified and agrees I should monitor her for any changes.
Hi y'all I just have a question cause I've never seen freesh do this before nor have I seen it described by others, please bear with me I'll try to describe the best way I can in words:
I heard her rustling around but it sounded fast so I looked over and she had her open mouth pressed against the glass while writhing around, like in pain. She then violently retreated, mouth still wide open so I thought she might be trying to regurgitate something even tho it's been nearly a week since feeding and she pooped already. She backed up into her hide but I could still see her face. Initially there was nothing in her mouth and her glottis wasn't blocked but as she writhed around some substrate got in there that she eventually got out. After a minute or so she was back to her normal curious self, digging and slithering around like usual.
I clean her cage as needed since it's bioactive and her heat and humidity haven't fluctuated outside of her normal range, so I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before? I'm obviously now watching her closely and if it happens again I'm going straight to the vet.
